Leak Detection
Need of the Project
  • To bring down the UFW to 15% from existing more than 50%.
  • Increase revenues from water charges for self-sustainability.
  • Better accountability of water supplied in each area against billed quantity.
  • Equitable distribution of water.
  • Better accountability for zonal distribution.
  • Implementation of active leak control program to reduce water loss.
Project Components
  • Supply of Bulk & Consumer Meters – For Water Audit and equitable Distribution of Water 15 mm to 300 mm.
    Project Awarded Cost Rs. 0.28 Crores
  • Supply & Installation of Ultrasonic Flow Meters – For installation in various points for better accountability of water supplied in each area.
    Project Awarded Cost Rs. 1.98 Crores
  • Fixing Sluice Valve & Area Water Meter – For leak detection program.
    Project Awarded Cost Rs. 0.39 Crores
  • Dismantling existing water meter and fixing new water meter- For conducting leak detection study in various zones of Water Works Department of NMC.
    Project Awarded Cost Rs. 0.58 Crores
